The school worked in partnership with ASD Info Wales to complete training which has improved our knowledge and understanding of The Autistic Spectrum Disorder.   The school successfully completed the necessary training and implemented the use of recommended resources throughout the school, which means that we are an accredited Learning with Autism                                                               School; we are only the 5th school in Torfaen to achieve this accreditation                                                               to date.

Our Criw-Cymreig actively lead the school community in promoting the language charter to inspire our children and young people to use Welsh in all aspects of their lives.  We were delighted to be one of the first schools to receive the ‘Gwobr Efydd,’ the Bronze Award. We achieved the ‘Gwobr Arian,’ the Silver Award in Summer 2022 and are now one of only two schools trialling the new 'Gwobr Aur,' accreditation, the Gold Award.

The Eco-committee and the entire school have worked hard to make our school a green, environmentally friendly school where our pupils have a good understanding and respect of environmental issues.  Our most recent award was of the Green flag; we are now striving to achieve the Platinum Award
